Laetitia Crahay para Maison Michel

The talented and passionate Laetitia Crahay has been Maison Michel’s art director since 2006. Her funky yet refined collections, respectful yet iconoclastic, provoke and anticipate our visceral desire for fashion.
A great deal of humor, a dose of inspiration, some colors and as always, crazy elegance, come together to define the 2011 Spring-Summer collection.
Cat and rabbit ears remain Laetitia Crahay’s favorites, crossing one another in a conspiring rivalry, while straw hats with raw edges and thick chaotic weaves are a quest for authenticity.
More classical are the felts (coral and black), their voluptuous shapes giving a bohemian style that enhances passionate eyes. The pillbox hats, little berets, flowery hair-bands, big knots, precious and fun hats are the perfect expression to la dolce vita.
This revisited theme breaks through all clichés, mini top hats recalling Mayflower and neo-folk styles, purple for the chic and trendy newly-weds, pillboxes that make Florentine hair styles look androgynous and scarves for the Parisian night owls. Like jewelry, the hair bands are silver, turquoise and with semi precious stones. In black and white, this neo-romantic, rock, stendhalian collection is already giving the beat to the coming summer.
